Studying at the University of Cambridge? We’ve been invited to take part in the University of Cambridge’s Scientific, Innovation & Technical Networking Event, happening on the 11th February and would love to meet you. This event brings together current university students and employees with those in technical consultancy locally – so it’s a good opportunity for us to catch up with the local innovation ecosystem, as well as helping potential students learn about their options. Innovation Consultant Bushra Zafar will be there to share her experiences of work at Innovia Technology.

If you’re interested in attending and currently at Cambridge, you can meet technical consultancy employees at the event – who span science, technical, and innovation consultancy – who all also spent time at Cambridge, whether as undergraduates, graduates, or postdoctoral researchers. While the companies they work for vary, all attendees work with clients on projects in R&D, product development and innovation.

At the event, you’ll hear more about what technical consulting entails, as consultants give a short elevator pitch about their journey, their company and the sort of people their company recruits. It’s followed by informal networking in small groups, and gives you an opportunity to learn more about this flavour of consulting. You can also get tips and advice, and of course ask questions!

Innovia Technology will be represented by Bushra Zafar, who studied at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge from 2016-2019. Bushra works at Innovia as an Innovation Consultant with a background in behavioural science. She works on and manages projects within the healthcare, FMCG, food/beverage and technology sectors, for clients including P&G, Bayer, PepsiCo, Johnson and Johnson and ABB.
